I found The Host, by Stephanie Meyer (Twilight saga) at a yard sale for $2. This was her first "adult" book. It's sci-fi -- sort of a "body snatchers" theme, only told from the other side. WOW! I'm on chapter 4 and I can't put it down. What an imagination that woman has and such skill in putting it to words.

Yeah, and it's a first edition, too. If I like the whole thing it will go to daughter and granddaughter next. If it's really great to the very end, we'll keep it and keep passing it around and keep it forever. Otherwise I'll sell it. LIFE IS GOOD!

EXCELLENT ENDING! The middle dragged on too long for me, but I'm glad I stuck with it. This is definitely a chic's sci-fi love story. PG rated. I will pass it on to daughter and granddaughter and be happy to read it again someday.
