« on: July 09, 2009, 04:33:38 PM »
hi, Hi  Has anyone tried the new IE8.  I got a message from my auto update to download and install it but wonder if it is any better than IE7.

I got that too let it download it and I was real fast on getting IE7 back. I hated it and it had alot of bugs in it. It kept locking my computer up as well as other bugs and I decided it was not worth using it.

Plus there were some things that wouldn't work in IE8

IMHO I would stay with IE7

I still have IE6. 7 was really bad for me and went back to 6. Now they want us to download 8. I don't think so. You tube says on it's website when it detect you have 6 that it will no longer support that version. Well, good for you tube, I don't need to view videos there either.

I tried IE8 didn't play well with our HP printer. I changed back to 7 works great. Wifey has IE* works great with her puter. Our printr is on a switch as we don't have a network set up. Our puters were bought about a week apart, don't know why mine doesn't play well with IE8....go figure
